The Islamic Council of Queensland (ICQ) is the peak umbrella body which represents the interests of Muslims in Queensland.
ICQ represents numerous organisations and mosques across approximately ten Queensland cities, which stretch from Brisbane and the Gold Coast to Cairns in North Queensland. We are a Charitable Institution and we are registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC).

ICQ mission is to engage with and build a stronger relationship with all of its member societies as well as many other Muslim and non-Muslim community based organisations.
ICQ aims to develop a self-sustainable operating model to support the QLD Muslim community. The exact form is yet to be developed, however current considerations include a format which is akin to a scaled down version of an Islamic Chamber of Commerce.

ICQ + QPS Due to the recent events in Christchurch, ICQ is continuing to liaise with the QLD Police Service about ensuring the protection of Muslims and security around mosques and Islamic centres across the state.
