ICQ mission is to engage with and build a stronger relationship with all of its member societies as well as many other Muslim and non-Muslim community based organisations.
ICQ aims to develop a self-sustainable operating model to support the QLD Muslim community. The exact form is yet to be developed, however current considerations include a format which is akin to a scaled down version of an Islamic Chamber of Commerce.

MEDIA RELEASE - CHRISTCHURCH SHOOTINGS
ICQ strongly condemns the act of terrorism perpetrated on Muslims in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Mr Habib Jamal, ICQ President, said “This is not the first or isolated act of terrorism against Muslims at mosques. Mosques have been a target of right wing terrorists in other countries as well. The Queensland Police Service has contacted and assured us that there will be an increase in patrols at all Queensland mosques for added safety and protection.”
He further added that "such attacks are a direct result of the demonisation and dehumanisation of Muslims by some individuals in powerful positions, including those in political offices”
ICQ urges that this incident is called for what it is: a politically motivated act of terror.
